Blog Poll

Okay ladies, I know by now many of you know me.
You know what I am about to say.
I apparently am the Queen of Blog-Change.

Okay, I LOVE the look of my blog right now.
Light, bright, fresh.

However, I have been loving Wordpress blogs lately.
I love the magazine-like look of them.
I have been told they are great,
but so far, they are difficult to me.
Perhaps it is just because it is so different.
One of the biggest challenges to me is that you can't change the font.
Or you can if you are a Wordpress expert - which I am not, and no one I know is.
The small font does bother me a bit.

Anyway, I made one, but I am not sure about it.
Ideally, I would choose one or the other, then delete one of them.
Ouch, that seems so scary to me!

I need all of your help.  Please go to:

and then leave a comment and let me know what you think -
back on this blog - or the other one!

Oh, I also have an important question:
On Wordpress, you can't have music - not that I can tell as of yet.
Someone told me that music on blogs totally annoys her.
Maybe it's just me that likes it.  But it's hard for me to imagine NOT having the music aspect.

What do ya'll think?  Music or no music?  Be totally honest with me!

Thanks ya'll - my sweet blogging friends!

Don't say it, I know

I couldn't make it until the Fall. Or not quite Fall anyway.

I promise, I am normal in most all other ways.

I don't change my clothes several times a day, my furniture is in the same place since we moved here (except for switching the kids rooms), and I really don't like change.

Unless it is on this blog - apparently.

Forgive me for all the switching, but as you probably know, it will not stop.

(LOL)

And I honestly don't know why!

Bright/Bold/Busy?

******UPDATE********

Okay, is this better? Mostly one text color? Even though I liked all the colors, I think this is better - less distracting.

********************

I know, I know. I am at it again.

Is it too much? Too colorful? Too busy? Distracting?

Hopefully it is none of those things, but I fear it is. Be honest.

I think I can promise that I won't change it again until fall. But, maybe not.

I was thinking last night, as I was choosing colors and fonts and such, that changing blog templates is a little like a girl playing with barbies. You get to change the look of it (outfits), pick out all the colors (shoes and accessories), move things the way you want them (arranging the barbie furniture) and just dress it up!

All I know, is that after a while (a couple months or so), I just have to change!

New Header

Let me just say that if I thought I knew what I was doing on the computer before trying to make that new header - I now know I know nothing!

I have been working (wasting my time/life) on this header for the whole night. I tried and tried and messed up so many times. Now - at 12:15am - I finally got it. I think. Oh well - I am too tired and bleary eyed to tell if it even looks good right now.

I must say - designing a blog from scratch (or scrapbook pages) is not easy. Anyone who says it is can just try to explain it - please.

Okay - I'm off to bed - if I can ever get my little insomniacs to bed also (yes - it is now 12:23 AM!!!!!!) They take after their Daddy!

No Profile Pic

I just can't stand any profile picture of mine.

No matter what one I put on there, it squinches it down into this pixcelated jumble, and really looks ugly.

Flowers, tulips, that's me. For now. Hey, they are pretty - and untl I can find a picture of myself that I like equally well, they shall stay planted right where they are.

This is really a meaningless post, but I just had to share my frustration with that little tiny picture!

This One Is Staying

Okay everyone - this is it!

I promise.

You will not log in to find ANYMORE big changes on my blog - not for a long time anyway.

Because:

I finally found the perfect light/bright/spring-like template for a 3 column blog. It was so wide and spacious - I could have left it like that.

But no.

I studied at length how to make a 3 column blog. And let's face it, I am no computer programmer/designer/anything - and it was WORK!

I had to follow step by step instructions on how to fine-tune/tweak/adjust numbers and settings in places on my blog that I did not feel comfortable even messing with. I was sure it would end up sideways or upside down when I was done.

But alas, somehow by 1 am, I had finished. It was in 3 columns - just like I wanted. I felt a little like Dr. Frankenstein.

After all that toil and trouble, I sat back with bleary tired eyes and thought:

Did it look better with the 2 columns on the spacious new border? Hhuuuummmmm......

No! This is what I wanted, so I will get used to it.

Besides, I couldn't UNDO all of those fine-tuned/tweaked/adjustments if I tried!

Feb. 15th memory verse

Okay, for now, this template is growing on me.

Maybe it's the tree. HaHa

Here's my memory verse for this two weeks:

Whether you turn to the right or to the left,
your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying,
"This is the way; walk in it."

Isaiah 30:21

Blog Award

My friend Bronie (our associate pastor's wife) sent me this award.
Thank you for the award Bronie. Bronie is also the one who introduced me to blogging. I don't know if I should thank her or not!! Ha ha. It has taken a lot of my time! Kidding aside, I have made great friends from this new "hobby", so I do thank you! Her blog cracks me up! Bronie - you SERIOUSLY need to write a book - or at least go into Christian stand up or something.

Part of accepting the award is:

*displaying the award
*linking back to the person who gave it to you
*paying it forward & nominating 7 blogs
*adding links to those seven blogs
*leaving comments on their blog telling them you gave them an award
*enjoying the award!!

Okay - I have to send this to 7 other bloggers. Here we go.

First award goes to (in random order of course) my friend Tara, who I made friends with through Bronie's blog many many months ago. I love her blog! She always has sweet pictures of her family, lots of good decorating tips, I think she tops me in the "Queen of Clean" category, she has old-fashioned values, she teaches me about homeschooling and makes me want to try - she loves Christ with all her heart, and though I have never met her, I do hope to one day.

Second award goes to my cousin Brenda. I haven't seen her in many years, and we reconnected a few months ago. I love her blog, because it helps me get to know her better and I get to see pictures of her/my family. I think we learn alot from each other, and share many likes. We communicate way more by email - where we can pour our hearts out in privacy!

Third award goes to my friend Jody. This is another dear friend I have met through blogging. I feel like we are old friends. We even did an online bible study together. Her husband is a prison Chaplain, and they have recently moved to another state (one of their many). So, if we do have to move next year - I will need her expert advice on settling in someplace new. She is very creative - and has a sweet family.

Fourth award goes to Rachel. This is my good friend Rachel, that I met when I first began going to church - as a new Christian, about 8 yrs. ago. Since we have met, I have had one child, and she has had 4 and is about to have her 5th - since we met - for a grand total of 3 for me, and 8 for her! She just called me yesterday and asked me to be in the delivery room to take pictures of her latest. She is a great mom, and friend and hope that we never lose touch.

Fifth award goes to my friend Desiree. She moved in across the street from me when I was in junior high. Her and her sister became very close friends of mine. I went to church with them, I went to my first Christian concert with them - Steve Green! We used to make home-made cookie dough all the time - just to eat! We stayed up late on the phone with boys - and had lots of fun. I enjoy seeing pictures of her 5 kids and keeping up to date with her.

The Sixth award goes to my friend Christie. She always has informative things on her blog like - filling us in on things like her great trip to Israel, and what soldiers need for Christmas, great videos and links, and cute pics of her boys. She is on the women's leadership team with me at church where she does MANY things. She is very organized and is always delightful to be around. Her husband is an Army chaplain and they will be moving in a few months. I can't imagine her and her hubby not being a part of our church anymore. She will be so missed!

The seventh award goes to my friend Jennifer. She is also on the leadership team at church. Jennifer is smart and really makes me think. She is challenging and creative. She comes up with lots of ideas whenever we are in our "brainstorming" meetings. She is a teacher at heart and by trade. She is homeschooling mom to 4 boys.

I am so blessed to have all of you for friends. Being apart of each of your lives is important to me and I truly care about each one of you.
