Multitudes on Monday

Sweet December Days...
I wish I could just live in December,
that this month could go on and on.

Last night I called Clay outside to look at the most beautiful moon with me.
Standing outside, in the cold, with Christmas lights lit all around the neighborhood,
I wished time could stand still...

Counting the many blessings this December day.

Table time for me.
Coffee and bible and books and journal and pouring my heart out to Him.

For presents picked out and wrapped.
Feeling the excitement for my children,
and other loved ones.

Cozy days spent in warm pajama's :)

Sweet treats stored in Christmas tins

Breaking out my bread machine,
and the baking of bread.

Candles lit, just because.

A quick trip to the library for oldest,
and me running to Lynn Austin section -
thinking for sure I had read all of them by now.
And finding one I hadn't.

Finding it so good and so sweet,
reading it nearly all in 3 days,
but savoring the end, not wanting it to end.
Funny how I did not yet know Esther, and Peter, and Penny and Mr. Mendel
just a few days ago - and now they are so dear I'm not ready to let them go...
And how an author can bring life to words...amazing.

The making of a homemade gift

Cozy scarf for cozy days

Hubby in church with me yesterday
Tender heart of littlest one
Nightly Jesse Tree devotions
Planning meals for my family
Delicious aromas from the kitchen
And the list goes on...

Joining with grateful hearts @

Oh Autumn is Among Us!

My most favorite block of months has come.
The seasons that I love.
At first, I was so busy I could hardly enjoy them
or acknowledge their presence.

But look, a wonderful change has come...
My windows are open, and a soft cool breeze blows through.
Those first few cool days of the season - I could swear refreshes and renews my very soul.

A bit of fall - to welcome us all...

Mums, just opening - such an image of the season, to me

Trees are most beautiful in yellows and reds and oranges, I believe...

And on this crisp cool Saturday, I took my littlest guy to breathe in the beauty.
He ran to the flags and back, collecting leaves...

Stopping next to his Mama for a few...

Yes, each one a prize...

Twisting stems together to "experiment" - "will they float or sink?"
The giggles in the watching!

In the midst of many changes - many unknowns
(why is it I always need to know?)
still have much to be grateful for...

562  Warm coffee

563  Soft sweaters

564  Warm socks

565  My kitchen table

566  Autumn leaves - brown and crunchy on the ground,
Orange, yellow and red on the trees

567  Books cleared from around my table

568  The hope God gives

569  Time to think - praying to stop using that time to worry

570  A beautiful day at the park with Joshua - just to play

571  A stranger/lady who gave him bread to feed to fishies

572  The delightful squeal of "I see a fish!"

573  The imagination of a 6 yr old

574  Ladies night for church

575  Sweet welcoming friends

576  Sharing a meal

577  Devotions read to a room full of hungry souls

578  Roasting marshmallows over a backyard firepit -
making yummy, sticky smores

579  Having the time to reach into my quiet time basket

580  A supportive hubby - through all my tears of the past week.

Multitude Monday

Counting the blessings in life...

Making the counting a daily habit.

They are all around -
we just have to have eyes to see.

Tiny budding leaves on a tree.

New soft tender green leaves on another,
where just weeks ago,
there were none.

Azalea bushes budding pink!

The first of the buds to open

A yellow iris bud.
Slender and graceful,
Transplanted from the "country".
Love when these open.

Weekend sprucing.

A newly planted pot of red flowers.

New red mulch filling the flower beds -
with red hands when we were done :)

Freshly scrubbed siding and windows
Hard work - but like new!

Taste and see that the Lord is good;
Blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him.
Fear the Lord, you his saints,
For those who fear Him lack nothing.
....Those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.
Psalm 34:8-10

Multitudes on Mondays

To live fully, to experience joy, we must give thanks....
Count the many blessings -
all around us.

For flowers blooming on my kitchen table -
daily checking to see new growth, new bloom, purple expanding

For a trip to the "country" - a visit to my parents "weekend getaway"

Walks on trails -
with dogs following
and leaves crunching underfoot

A visit to see the neighbors' chickens and roosters

Farmfresh eggs - a dozen to take home
green, blue, beige, spotted :)
none of them white

Winter thick bunny

Nesting chickens

A most beautiful day.
The kind you wish went on forever-
the weather you wish was every day.

Brilliant blue skies
and windmills

Me, happy....

My mothers' towels.
Worn and always happy mixmatched
A rainbow of colors

Littlest happy as can be,
playing in mud and sunshine all day :)

Multitude Monday

I haven't written one of these in a while.  Of that I recall as I check off what Monday is... garbage day, bills need to go in mailbox, go visit Mom, and what else...?

Count... the many blessings.  Oh yes, life brings so many things to dwell on.  To worry about.  To pray continuously about.

But there comes those moments, to stop.  To recall all that God has done, and is doing.

And count the blessings.

*  A cool house - a refuge from the unrelenting heat outside

*  Seeing old friends

*  Sisters in Christ

*  God growing my knowledge and love for Him

*  And for others

*  Dragonflies flitting all over the yard this morning
Joshua said that they must be dancing :)

*  Giggling girls

*  Little one's love for his Daddy

*  A break from all the studies of college

*  Seeing fall decorations at Hobby Lobby - knowing it's on the way

*  Good books bringing good things - in me

*  The One True God - that we can go to Him any minute of the day :)

Multitude Monday

Continuing to count the many things in life to be grateful for - the big and the small....

216  Skies that make you stop the truck with the whole family inside - step out and take pictures.

217  Rainbows like we have never seen before - double rainbows

I mean really - what is that?  Never knew rainbows could do this.

218  Preschool friends
(The only boys in a class of girls!)

219  The excitement around here (The Saints are going to the Superbowl!!!!!!)

220  That my kids have such a good Daddy

221  Hard Algebra problems now making sense : )

222  Reading books so good that you no longer see the words on the page,
but the scenes they paint instead

223  Swept floors

224  Folded towels - right out of the dryer

225  God giving you words to say - to someone who needs them

226  A science project - finished

227  A dog curled up on his bed - like something out of a book

228  Many ladies signed up for Spring bible study

229  The comfort and companionship that only God can bring
