Today is the first day of Fall!!
My favorite season of the year.
Autumn colors - oranges, reds and browns. Decorating my front door, mailbox, and mantle. Pumpkins. Mums and fall plants. Autumn Spice and Pumpkin candles. Changing leaves, the first cool breezes blowing our way.
Knowing what is to come soon: jackets and fall festivals, Thanksgiving and family get-togethers.
Then the day after Thanksgiving (like my mom always did), out with the fall decorations and in with the Christmas tree.
Oh, what a happy time of year!
To celebrate the first of fall, I hung up my fall wreath, and put out a couple of pumpkins that my friend Jenny bought me from Kirklands (my favorite).
I'll wait until October to finish decorating. When it really begins to feel like Fall.
