He's so into Toy Story right now. We only had Toy Story 2, until a friend got his the first movie for his birthday.
Well, Joshua can be very emotional and sensitive, especially about something he loves. Toy Story 2 doesn't have TOO many upsetting parts. But... Toy Story 1 has that mean kid who tortures Buzz and Woody - oh, and there's the equal upsetting part where Buzz wants to believe he can fly, so he jumps off the stair banister and falls right to the ground where his arm breaks off.
Well... Joshua can barely watch this first one. He cries and screams through most of it, so I think we will have to put it away for awhile.
As for his Woody - oh, he loves him. Last night he told me that he needed to brush Woody's hair. Never mind that it is hard shiny brown plastic - I gave him a comb and told him it was beautiful.
He also loves Buzz - and has a few now. Since it is an older movie, it is a little hard to find toys from the movie. I found myself on eBay the other night looking at all the stuff they had. KB toys and Toys R Us had a few things - oh, and Target.
He's so funny how he reenacts different scenes from the movie. His favorite is where Woody accidentally gets put in at a garage sale. A little girl sees him on the ground and says, "Mommy, Mommy.." Because she wants him. Then a man who collects toys sees him laying there and makes a loud, "HHUUHH" sound. So, Joshua throws Woody on the floor, strategically placing his arms and legs, runs over saying "Mommy, Mommy", then the loud surprise sound. Then he circles him a few times, picks him up and starts again.
Oh, and he's learned the song from the movie and sings, "You got a fren in me - you got a fren in me."
Kids.... Too cute!
