Multitude Monday

Been out of the blogging loop for a few days.  We have had company come in from Texas.
A guy that Clay was stationed with in Detroit - back in our pre-kid days!
 (And then new parent days!)
He and his wife came, and their 2 1/2 month old daughter.

We had a good time - went to New Orleans,
ate lunch in the French Quarter,
walked around Jackson Square,
ate at Cafe DuMonde - yummy beignets!!!  (Oh, and Cafe' au lait!)
Shopped the French Market - got a pair of Fleur di lis earrings I've been wanting.

We spent a few hours at the park on Saturday -
where a local hospital was just so happening to be celebrating their anniversary,
with FREE FOOD for all, catered by a great restaurant in town!
Music and good (free) food - how wonderful!

Joshua chasing pigeons!

Counting the blessings in life:

130  Seeing the city afresh

131  Walking those old streets of New Orleans

132  Stopping at an little out door "stage" where as a teenager,
on that very spot, my Grandmother danced to the Cajun music being played -
trying to get shy little me to dance with her.
(Both gone now...)

133  Having company

134  Friends who are beginning their walk with God

135  Questions asked about Him

136  Holding a baby again -
experienced hands at soothing and holding a new one

137  Beautiful cool weather!!

138  Cooking for friends - a big pot of Gumbo!

139  Feeling the push from God to begin memorizing His Word - again.
(He knows I need the push!)

140  Oh, and our New Orleans Saints are 9-0!!!!!

holy experience
